I think hackerx or was it nubiturbo who suggested it originally a long, long time ago perhaps towards the end of S1/Start of S2 and a by a few other since then.
I really would like somthing like an archive or the charts during the evolution of LFS.
Somthing like races history tab perhaps?

How things have changed, I myself have only 4 WR's now

Used to play daily almost for a few years and hit my maximum potential skill level and got frustrated with the game (well actually thats not true i was frustrated that i wasnt improving)

I rarely play it after my custom made cue was eaten alive by a Ford (heavy wind cue resting in the boot space with it open, a strong gust pushed the boot to close, hey presto dead boomstick)

Ive played a few proffessional players and been absolutely anihilaited in the proccess, even with a good handicap (+50pts)
They key i found was keeping a clear mind, relaxed posture and a positive focus.
But in snooker that can be very,very,very hard.
The best peice of advice i was ever given was to "Make the cue ball do the work. Not your cueing"

Sure i have no problem with using blacklists, whitelists etc with_my_own IP filter. But at an ISP level, no thank you. What they log already and store isnt enough already ....?
The problem i see is sooner rather then later that "interested" parties (goverment/coperations) will shape the net for their benefit rather then the users.
Just look at the recent trials with Phorm and other ISP debates with content delivery/monitoring in the last 2 years in the UK alone.

Seriously though its not an easy job moderating, but saying that i do think there is a tendancy to lock then discuss openly about any issues within a thread that would usally be locked. Sometimes just closing a thread for a hour or two with a mesage to remind others to cool off or think about what they are saying, before closing somthing permanently.

Personally i am against the locking of threads. Unless its a sticky or notification of course.

George i understand you point, and original question and it seems you have it worked out. This was somthing i tested a few years ago actually when i had my momo, before i got a DFP and then the G25.

I remember playing the demo on my Voodoo 2 SLI rig @ 1024 locekd at 60 fps which was godlike at the time.

From memory there is only a handful of games that display such a tendency to run upto 40% faster at comparable clock cycles (Intel/AMD) and LFS is one if not the game that displays this level of advantage to owning an Intel System. (damn beat me to it vari)
Does make me wonder if i could replace the CPU string for my system, would it show any anomolies
Is LFS a cache fiend ? It Would be interesting to see some low end core2 with castrated amounts of L2

About the registration problems Vari, last night i updated my score. But at first i could not remember my password, so i went to the forgot/reset page.
Entered my email and got a similar if not the same error as Toki.
After closing down browser and starting again it seemed to work

One thing i find bizzare about LFS running this benchmark is the contrast between an Intel System and an AMD system.

Take a look at any of the Intel systems and compare it to rc10racers or my own.

There is a thread "I got banned" etc, in the beginers section" take a look there.

As for a global ban they are only dished out to those really causing trouble afaik.
